I am an artist who plays with sounds, images, and technology. I use a variety of media and styles: graphite & charcoal drawing, pen & ink, paint, video, musical instruments, digital audio, interactive software. I am primarily interested in the synesthetic blending and phase shifting of visual art with sound and music, and the techniques of sampling, compositing, and hybridization. My musical background, which includes Western classical, rock, electronica, and free improvisation, informs my approach to visual art. I am interested in how sound is represented visually, and how images are interpreted sonically, the application of musical ideas to visual contexts, and the exploration of these ideas within the interstitial areas between the musical, visual and digital arts.

As a bass guitarist, I have performed with musicians such as Jack Dishel (Only Son), Regina Spektor, Shawn Phillips, Paul Buckmaster, and J. Peter Robinson.

I am currently based in eastern Long Island, New York, working as a forensic artist for the local police. Clients and collaborators include Language In Common, the Venice Music Festival, Shen Wei Dance Arts, and G. Schirmer.
