Alembic is a new open source computer graphics interchange framework developed jointly by Industrial Light & Magic and Sony Imageworks. It can be used to share digital animation and VFX data between different software applications. Working closely with the development team, I designed Alembic's logo.

My sister recently got married, and for the wedding I sculpted the bride and groom for the cake topper. A photo is posted here, taken by the excellent photographer Susan Stripling.

Astor & Pollux (from my Musical Anatomy series) is featured in two Italian magazines this month. The inaugural issue No. 0 of art magazine Cartilagine is viewable online (physical copies can also be ordered). The theme is Beautiful Maladies. A similar two-page spread of the twins is also included in CTRL magazine.

I recently did an interview about the BFF project with Jascha Hoffman for The Paris Review. Now online, it includes a slideshow of BFF images and composite drawings of criminal suspects.

This Friday, Feb. 19, my musical game piece Raw Shack will be performed along with the premiere of a new game piece by Jon Natchez at Issue Project Room, 232 3rd St, Brooklyn, NY. Performers will include members of Stars Like Fleas.

Until Feb. 10, 2010, 50% of all print and poster sales will go to San Francisco organizations the Breast Cancer Emergency Fund (BCEF) and the AIDS Emergency Fund (AEF). That's $25 for each print, and $5 for each poster. Thanks.
