Brackish Flows performed live next to the Mahicannittuk/Hudson River in Newburgh, NY, June 26, 2026. This piece is inspired by the movement of the river itself, which reverses direction approximately every six hours. In this piece, the music reverses itself every 60 seconds, with sonic tributaries rippling throughout. Electric guitar and electronics.
Hatim Belyamani and Shawn Feeney live at the Drone Music Festival, April 30, 2026, Marlboro, NY. An improvised duet. I did some overtone singing and used custom software that allows me to play individual harmonics within the harmonic series. Hatim played keyboard in Arabic tuning, primarily in maqam Saba. We both played bass melodica as well. Footage by William A. Loeb.
Live quartz bowls performance of “Jewels” (from my album Thin Places) at Wildheart, Wallkill, NY, May 10, 2026.
Cultivating Calm
Cultivating Calm is a livestream series I offered with my wife Nirmala Nataraj every month in 2024. Each session begins with a guided meditation by Nirmala followed by contemplative, instrumental music played improvisationally by myself.
